Hyflux consortium awarded US$250m desalination project in Oman

SHARES in Hyflux rose 7.4 per cent, or 5.5 cents, to S$0.795 on Friday after the firm said it won the bid to build a US$250 million water desalination project in Oman, together with local partner National Power and Water Co.
The consortium has received a letter of award to design, build and operate the project in Qurayyat from the government-owned Oman Power and Water Procurement Company (OPWP).
