SINGAPORE's water-treatment company Hyflux and diversified energy, water and marine group Sembcorp Industries are two potential contenders for a power plant project mooted for the northern area of Egypt's Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone).
SCZone Authority, the appointed regulator of the economic zone being developed in phases until 2045, is hoping to engage the two Singapore-listed companies as among those identified as possible candidates to build, own and operate the planned power plant.
