Important to build agility as AI disrupts roles in banking: OCBC’s Lee Hwee Boon

    BANKERS should build agility, resilience and critical thinking skills, given that roles in the industry are being increasingly challenged by new technologies.

    That’s according to Lee Hwee Boon, head of group human resources at OCBC.

    She has been through multiple roles in her 28 years at OCBC, and noted that every change had been difficult. But a valuable lesson she learnt was that each role had allowed her to build key skills to help her do better in the next.
