A QUALIFIED Person's report commissioned by AsiaPhos Ltd confirmed an increase in the Catalist-quoted company's total measured and indicated phosphate resources to 30.3 million tonnes as at Sept 30, 2014, from 23.1 million tonnes at the end of last year.

The report by Watts, Griffis and McOuat Limited, dated Nov 21, 2014, noted that the 31 per cent increase in the mineral resources was driven largely by the granting of an exploration permit in August from the Sichuan Land Department for a larger exploration area. Its permit for Cheng Qiang Yan mine (Mine 1), covering an area of approximately 1.54 sq km, is valid for two years from April 9, 2014. Previously, AsiaPhos had exploration rights to only 0.55 sq km.
