Industrial S-Reits lagging regional peers in total returns
Singapore
SINGAPORE-LISTED industrial Reits, otherwise known as industrial S-Reits, are lagging their regional peers in total returns this year.
Their relative trading underperformance is coming at a time when industrial landlords are facing pressures in occupancies and rents amid the government's ramp-up in supply of industrial space. According to a sector update by the Singapore Exchange (SGX) on Thursday, industrial S-Reits have generated year-to-date average and median total returns of 11.5 per cent and 12.2 per cent respectively.
