Infrastructure plays gaining traction as investors seek uncorrelated returns

AS INVESTORS seek stable, resilient returns amid slowing macroeconomic conditions, attention is turning to the infrastructure sector, especially in the energy and transportation segments.

Equities manager ClearBridge Investments reported assets under management growth of over 19 per cent year on year in 2022 for listed infrastructure assets.

Over the same period, assets in the Legg Mason ClearBridge Global Infrastructure Income Fund almost trebled.
