BRITISH insurer Aviva Singapore has posted a 19 per cent rise in its value of new business (VNB), a measure of expected profits from new premiums written, to S$216 million in 2015, following higher sales of protection products through the financial advisory (FA) channel.

The contribution to VNB from local lender DBS was £28 million (S$55 million), it said in a statement on Thursday. The insurer's bancassurance tie-up with DBS had ended in 2015.
