iQiyi, GHY team up to tap opportunities in South-east Asia
Chinese streaming giant inks MOU with entertainment and content provider for setting up Singapore-based talent management agency

DESPITE stiff competition in the streaming business, consumers are beginning to subscribe to multiple services as streaming platforms become commonplace. Players who are able to set themselves apart with unique user experiences or exclusive content offerings will therefore stand to benefit, Kuek Yu-Chuang, iQiyi's vice-president of international business, told The Business Times.
Against this backdrop, Chinese streaming giant iQiyi together with mainboard-listed entertainment and content provider GHY Culture & Media Holding see opportunities in working together to boost their service and product offerings to capture the growing South-east Asia media and entertainment market.
GHY, which listed on the Singapore Exchange in December last year, brings deep expertise in end-to-end production to the table while Nasdaq-listed iQiyi is one of the most popular streaming services …
