Isetan Singapore names new managing director

ISETAN (Singapore) has appointed Shioji Hiramatsu, 53, as its new managing director and executive director, effective May 30.
Hiramatsu, who was previously the president of Isetan Mitsukoshi Human Solutions, will be responsible for the department store operator’s business, it said in a bourse filing on Monday (May 30).
Meanwhile, outgoing chief executive Koji Oyama will take on an executive position in Isetan Mitsukoshi Holdings - the holding company for Mitsukoshi and Isetan department stores.
Oyama, 55, took on the role of chief executive on Apr 28 after the company announced his retirement as managing director and executive director after concluding its annual general meeting.
Isetan said at the time that Oyama will be chief executive until the date the new managing director is appointed to facilitate the handover of his duties.
The counter last traded at S$3.50 on May 26.
