Japfa ends first-day trading on firm note

INDONESIA'S agri-food company Japfa ended its stock trading debut on Singapore Exchange (SGX) yesterday at 84.5 Singapore cents, up 5.6 per cent from its initial public offering (IPO) price of 80 Singapore cents.
The mainboard counter, which opened at 84 cents and then traded between 86.5 cents and 81.5 cents, was the day's third most active stock with 68.7 million shares changing hands.
