Jardine Matheson, Jardine Strategic post lower H1 profits

BOTH Jardine Matheson Holdings (JMH) and Jardine Strategic Holdings (JSH) reported reduced profits in 1H18 on the back of lower non-trading gains.
JMH's net profit for the first six months ended 30 June slumped 57 per cent year-on-year to US$928 million. Net non-trading gains in the first half totalled US$136 million - which included a gain from revaluations of investment properties - versus US$1.43 billion a year ago.
