THE Singapore bourse's showing in June was mostly dulled by caution amid fresh curbs on social gatherings and activities which continued from mid-May, although a pick-up in corporate restructurings provided much-needed colour. No surprise then, that it wrapped up the month on a flat note from a month ago in terms of total market value.

According to data compiled by The Business Times, the total market capitalisation of some 678 stocks on the Singapore Exchange (SGX) inched up marginally by 0.3 per cent to S$858.9 billion as at end-June from S$856.2 billion as at end-May. Gainers outnumbered losers with 285 counters up and 240, down.
