KepFels clinches US$440m deal from Clearwater affiliate

KEPPEL FELS has secured a US$440 million contract from an affiliate of Clearwater Capital Partners (Clearwater) to build a pair of premium jackup rigs, the company announced yesterday.

The wholly owned subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine (Keppel O&M) is scheduled to deliver the KFELS B Class rigs in the fourth quarter of 2015 and the first quarter of 2016.

Keppel has supplied two rigs for Clearwater previously which are being used in Malaysia and the Middle East.
