Keppel chairman conferred Belgian honour
KEPPEL Corporation chairman Lee Boon Yang was bestowed the Belgian national award of Commander of the Order of the Crown on Thursday in recognition of his contributions to economic cooperation and trade between Singapore and Belgium.
The Order was bestowed by Belgium's Princess Astrid during her visit to Singapore. In accepting the award, Dr Lee, 67, praised the hard work of his colleagues at Keppel Seghers, an environmental technology company in Belgium acquired by Keppel in 2002. "The synergy between Keppel Seghers, founded in Belgium and now linked to Singapore, has delivered value and benefited many around the world."
We had inadvertently omitted this in our report, "PSA chairman conferred Belgian national honour" (BT, Nov 28). We are sorry for the omission.
