Keppel Data Centres, NSCC ink 'strategic collaboration' deal
KEPPEL Data Centres Pte Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Keppel Telecommunications & Transportation, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the National Supercomputing Centre (NSCC).
Under the MOU, Keppel Data Centres and the NSCC intend to explore potential collaboration in areas of supercomputing and high-performance computing, InfiniBand connectivity, networking and scientific software applications, green technology for data centres and related areas.
"With the possibility of integrating our data centres as a supercomputing node, clients colocating with Keppel Data Centres may have the opportunity to tap the NSCC's high-performance computing resources. This strategic collaboration is a demonstration of Keppel Data Centre's commitment to continuously enhance our suite of product offerings to clients," said Wong Wai Meng, CEO, Keppel Data Centres.
Earlier this year, Keppel Data Centres expanded its data-centre footprint with the groundbreaking of Keppel Datahub 3, its fourth data centre in Singapore. The facility will be its second largest data centre in Singapore after Keppel Digihub, and will be developed to Tier 3, carrier-neutral specifications.
