Keppel FELS denies breaches alleged by Awilco unit in bid to terminate rig order

A WHOLLY-OWNED unit of London-based, Oslo-listed Awilco Drilling is trying to wriggle out of a rig construction deal by alleging breaches of contract, which were flatly rejected by the rig maker Keppel FELS.
In a stock exchange filing, parent Keppel Corp said Keppel FELS received a notice of termination on June 8 from Awilco Rig 1 (AR1) for the Nordic Winter rig.
