THE rig-building arm of Keppel Offshore & Marine is understood to be eyeing roles in the development of one of US Gulf of Mexico's largest recent oil discoveries.
Keppel Fels has teamed up with Monaco-based floating production specialist SBM Offshore to bid against Technip of France for a front-end engineering and design (FEED) award on a floating production structure (FPS) with Anadarko Petroleum-operated Shenandoah oilfield development. The FEED winner stands to have its contract rolled over to cover the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of the FPS.
