Keppel, Sembmarine would both gain from merging O&M units: analysts

    A MERGER of Keppel Corporation's offshore and marine (O&M) business with that of THFR (Sembmarine) would be a positive for both companies, analysts polled by The Business Times said.

    Both companies called for trading halts on Thursday morning, and are reportedly set to begin talks about combining their O&M units.

    "I think it would be in Keppel's best interest to divest the entire O&M division to Sembmarine," said Justin Tang of United First Partners.
