Singapore
KEPPEL Seghers' energy-from-waste plant in the UK has begun commercial operations, the company's parent Keppel Corp said on Thursday.
The facility is one of the biggest waste and renewable energy projects in Europe and can process up to 425,000 tonnes of refuse-derived fuel per year, KepCorp noted. It added that the facility is expected to help divert more than 75 per cent of the Greater Manchester region's waste away from landfills.
