CO-FOUNDER of communication design and production group Kingsmen Creatives, Simon Ong, 62, will be stepping down as chief executive officer and group managing director with effect from July 1, 2016.
The current group chief operating officer, Andrew Cheng, will in turn assume the role of group CEO. The 53-year-old will be overseeing the group's day-to-day management, corporate affairs, business development and strategic planning, the company said in a filing to Singapore Exchange on Friday.
It also announced a slew of changes to the group's management, as it celebrates the 40th year of its founding.
Come July 1, Mr Ong will take up the role of deputy chairman, spearheading the strategic planning and development of the group as well as its creative standards.
Chairman and co-founder Benedict Soh will focus more on honing the group's leadership capabilities and human capital. This is on top of Mr Soh's role in charting the group's strategic direction and exploring new business opportunities.
Mr Cheng, the incoming CEO, together with Alex Wee, the current managing director overseeing retail and corporate interiors segment, will also be appointed executive directors on July 1.
