KIT's Basslink 'strongly denies' allegations of breaches by state of Tasmania

KEPPEL Infrastructure Trust (KIT) on Monday said its unit Basslink - which runs an undersea electricity cable in Australia's Tasmania - has received a notice of dispute from the state of Tasmania over a cable failure in December 2015.
The state of Tasmania alleged that it has suffered various losses and that Basslink must indemnify it for those losses amounting to over A$100 million (S$101 million). Basslink said it "strongly denies" the allegations set out in the notice, and denies that it is liable for any such losses.
