KrisEnergy names Tan Ek Kia as new non-executive board chairman

    INDEPENDENT upstream oil and gas company KrisEnergy Ltd has appointed Tan Ek Kia as non-executive chairman of its board of directors with immediate effect.

    He will be replacing Will Honeybourne, who is retiring from the board, as chairman of the transition committee and as member of the nominating committee, the company said in a filing after market close on Wednesday.

    Mr Tan joined KrisEnergy's Board as a non-executive independent director in January 2013. He has 40 years of experience in the oil and gas sector.

    He is also a director on the boards of Keppel Corporation Ltd, PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk, SMRT Corporation Ltd, Transocean Ltd, Dialog Systems (Asia) Pte Ltd, Keppel Offshore and Marine Ltd, Star Energy Group Holdings Pte Ltd (Chairman) and Singapore LNG Corporation Pte Ltd.

    KrisEnergy's counter closed flat on Wednesday at S$0.22.
