Laggards? Not in insurance, says Aon's global analytics chief

WHENEVER Paul Mang is told that the insurance industry is lagging behind in innovation and technology, he finds it very puzzling - and begs to differ.
"I'd say the insurance industry has been using Big Data for 400 years," says the global chief executive of analytics at London-based and US-listed professional services firm Aon. "Who's pooling data before anyone else? Who's predicting the future?"
