The ‘Land of Opportunity’ is now everywhere
FOR eons, geography was destiny in business. To succeed, you had to go where industry and capital were.
Singapore offered some of that, especially after its economic “miracle”. But the “Land of Opportunity” was still America – and that opportunity was clustered in big cities such as New York and Los Angeles. This is no longer true.
Now, opportunity is everywhere and anywhere: Singapore or Saskatchewan, Malacca or Minnesota.
