LSEG eyes opportunities in private markets, trading of global securities for Asian traders

EVEN as public markets remain the backbone of the business of the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), the rise in popularity of private investments has resulted in the financial markets infrastructure operator expanding its offerings.
“We hope to be the first exchange group globally that is genuinely indifferent to whether a company is private or public,” said Murray Roos, LSEG’s group head of capital markets in an interview with The Business Times.
Earlier this year, LSEG announced a partnership with private companies platform Floww to enable capital raising and secondary trading in private securities.
