M1 announces board reshuffle, appoints new non-executive independent director
TELECOMMUNICATIONS provider M1 Limited on Tuesday announced it has appointed Tan Wah Yeow as a non-executive independent company director with effect from Feb 13.
In addition to his duties above, M1 said Mr Tan will also be appointed as a new member of the audit, remuneration and risk committees.
Mr Tan was recently appointed on Nov 1 as a director to Mapletree Logistics Trust Management, and Genting Singapore.
He was previously with auditors KPMG, where he was deputy managing partner of KPMG Singapore and head of KPMG Asia-Pacific Healthcare from 2010 to 2017, and was head of KPMG Asia-Pacific Management Consulting before that.
Additionally, board chairman Danny Teoh Leong Kay will be appointed as a new member of both the remuneration and nominating committees, with his term also starting on Feb 13.
M1 shares closed on Tuesday at S$1.80, up two Singapore cents or 1.12 per cent.
