M1 posts earnings of S$44.3m for Q2

M1 Ltd (M1) on Monday announced a net profit of S$44.3 million in the second quarter ended June 30, 2015, marginally higher than the S$43.9 million it reported one year ago. This came on the back of an operating revenue growth of 15.5 per cent to S$276.8 million, up from S$239.7 million one year ago. During the quarter, earning per share (EPS) were 4.7 Singapore cents, same as last year.
For the six months to June 30, the telco's net profit was up 3.8 per cent at S$90 million from S$86.7 million, one year ago. Operating revenue during the period was S$571.7 million, up 19.1 per cent from S$479.8 million recorded in the year-ago period. Basic EPS was at 9.6 Singapore cents, up 2.9 per cent over 9.4 cents one year ago.
