M&A appetite in South-east Asia hits 2-year high

THE appetite of corporations in South-east Asia (SEA) for mergers and acquisitions has hit a two-year high with one in two in a bi-annual study saying they expect to pursue such activities over the next 12 months.
The 53 per cent of respondents - in a poll of 120 companies - who indicate a desire to hit the acquisition trail over the next 12 months is also sharply higher than the 24 per cent six months ago.
