MALAYSIA'S five-year government bond yield held at the lowest level since November 2013 after demand for the securities strengthened amid a selloff in stocks.
The yield on the notes has dropped 17 basis points in the past month, while the benchmark equity gauge lost 1.3 per cent. Malaysia's 10-year bonds, which are rated the fourth-lowest investment grade by Standard & Poor's, offer the second-highest yields among South-east Asia's three biggest economies.
