Mapletree Industrial Trust completes acquisition of 14 data centres in US
THE manager of Mapletree Industrial Trust (MIT) on Tuesday said it has completed the acquisition of the remaining 60 per cent interest in 14 data centres in the US from its sponsor.
The purchase consideration amounts to US$215.3 million.
MIT raised S$410 million at the close of its private placement on June 24, where 146.4 million new units were issued at a price of S$2.80 per new unit.
About S$294.5 million or 71.8 per cent of the gross proceeds from the private placement was used to fully fund the acquisition, as well as for professional and other fees incurred by MIT in connection with the deal.
Units in MIT closed at S$3.06 on Tuesday, up S$0.01 or 0.3 per cent before this announcement.
