THE value of the Singapore stock market shrank in July by the most in nearly two years as the bursting of a bubble in Chinese equities and the commodities slump exacted their toll here.
Even though the local bourse managed to bring in a few new Catalist listings during the month, Singapore shares' total market capitalisation fell 3.9 per cent to S$927.9 billion in July from June - the largest percentage drop since the local market's 4.8 per cent month-on-month drop in August 2013.
