Market stalemate looks set to continue
MAJOR US stock indexes finished mixed last week as celebrations of a US-China trade-war truce and a Brexit deal proved short-lived and earnings reports were all over the map.
Markets are likely to continue to be in flux this week, as companies turn in a mixed earnings report card, and more doubts surface over Brexit and the trade deal.
Stocks initially surged after US President Donald Trump revealed a "Phase One" deal between the US and China late last week. What he presented as a permanent peace, however, turned out to be something more like a temporary ceasefire.
