A HEALTHY dose of Greek optimism and mild overnight gains on Wall Street led share prices on the local bourse to its fourth straight day of gains on Wednesday.

The key Straits Times Index (STI) rose 11.55 points or 0.4 per cent to finish at 3,351.33. It has gained 51 points in the past four trading days.

The index had briefly tested above the 3,350 level during the day, but failed to follow through, with the 200-day moving average barrier deterring bulls, said IG Markets.
