THE total value of Singapore-listed stocks fell 2.4 per cent over the month of September to S$948.9 billion.

Compared to a quarter ago, total market value also fell. Nevertheless, the Singapore market is still bigger than it was at end-2013, when the value of all listed stocks added up to S$899.4 billion.

Phillip Futures investment analyst Howie Lee expects a "sideways" quarter ahead.
