May market value flat after five months of steady climb

AFTER a steady five-month climb, the total value of 747 Singapore Exchange-listed companies dipped 0.1 per cent in May to S$962.3 billion, from the S$962.8 billion a month ago.
But compared to a year ago, May's market capitalisation rose 13.7 per cent, according to data compiled by The Business Times. The market cap stood at S$845.3 billion in the corresponding period of 2016.
