Medtecs shares climb after Q1 profit surge

CATALIST-LISTED Medtecs International Corporation's shares jumped to an intra-day high of 16.2 Singapore cents on Wednesday, up 4.8 cents or 42.1 per cent, after the company reported a surge in net profit on Tuesday night.
The counter closed up 38.6 per cent or 4.4 Singapore cents at 15.8 Singapore cents on Wednesday. It was also the most heavily traded by volume with 167.9 million shares changing hands.
