Mermaid Maritime wins US$10m cable lay job

MERMAID Maritime Public Company Limited (Pcl) has won an award through its Qatari business unit valued at US$10 million.
The award for an additional subsea cable installation and related diving services assignment from an existing customer will be completed three months from April 2016, Mermaid Maritime said in an SGX announcement. The customer is a global cable manufacturing, installation and commissioning company.
Mermaid Maritime plans to utilise the chartered-in DP2 construction barge, Mubarak Supporter, along with other specialised vessels, associated equipment and specialist personnel.
