MMP Resources, which invests in construction-related firms, said on Monday the company has been served with a writ of summons, filed by Edward Lee Ewe Ming, claiming S$5.22 million.
"The company is disputing the claims made by Edward Lee in the writ and is in the process of seeking legal advice on this matter. The company will be vigorously opposing the claims."
It separately said that Mr Lee has been granted leave by the court to withdraw the winding up application he filed against the company by Monday, with costs of the withdrawal to be borne by him.
