SINCE his appointment as Eu Yan Sang's group chief executive in 2017, Aaron Boey has been working to steer the 140-year-old tradition-steeped company towards modernisation.
As an outsider taking over the reins, Mr Boey recognises that his responsibilities are delicate - he is up against deeply rooted family practices while making the change.
"Sometimes we say we professionalise the company, but in that sense it's not completely accurate as well, as there are many professional managers in the company, when Richard was running the company," he says.
