Nam Cheong calls for bondholders to form committee

NAM Cheong, the shipbuilder which has defaulted on its bonds and ceased all other debt repayments, said on Saturday it would work with the Securities Investors Association of Singapore (SIAS) to set up an informal steering committee of bondholders.

The committee is expected to have five to nine bondholders. Noteholders who are interested in joining the informal steering committee are to register their interest with SIAS by Aug 4, 2017. They can email the organisation at admin@sias.org.sg, or call 6227 2683.
