NASDAQ-listed software company Autodesk has been on an acquisition spree as it expands into adjacent sectors, paying over US$1 billion to bring at least three companies into its fold since last November.
The vendor - well known for its computer-aided design product AutoCAD used by architects, engineers, and construction professionals - acquired cloud-based product lifecycle management and product data management solutions provider Upchain in May, water infrastructure design company Innovyze in March, and artificial intelligence and generative design platform vendor Spacemaker last November.
