NEERAJ Swaroop will become chief executive of Standard Chartered Bank Singapore from March 31.
Mr Swaroop's appointment comes amid a major restructuring at UK-based Standard Chartered Bank (StanChart), with a renewed emphasis on Asean and Singapore, the key to capitalising on the region's growth opportunities.
StanChart, which is 18 per cent owned by Singapore investment company Temasek Holdings, said last month that Mr Swaroop, chief executive, Asean (excluding Singapore), will be appointed chief executive of Standard Chartered Bank Singapore, subject to the necessary regulatory approval.
