New Silkroutes Group strengthens presence in Malaysia
NEW Silkroutes Group has launched New Silkroutes Capital Sdn Bhd (NSC Malaysia) as part of the investment group's latest corporate development in Malaysia.
NSC Malaysia will focus on its core business in the same three key sectors as NSG in Singapore, namely, energy, healthcare and technology. It will scale on the same line of activities while tapping on Malaysia's petrochemical industry and the infocomm & technology expertise via Malaysia's Multimedia Super Corridor.
Group CEO Goh Jin Hian said: "We are delighted to strengthen our presence in Malaysia as we see burgeoning business opportunities in our neighbouring country. We will strive to seek new alliances to further fuel our growth momentum in the three target sectors that we focus on."
The board of directors of New Silkroutes Capital Sdn Bhd is helmed by its new chairman, Ahmad Fizal bin Othman. He served as an independent and non-executive chairman of SBC Corp Bhd from Aug 21, 2013, to April 1, 2015.
