STRAITS Times Index (STI) administrator FTSE Russell said there will be no changes to the constituents of Singapore’s blue-chip index following the December 2022 quarterly review.
The STI reserve list will comprise, in order of market capitalisation, Olam Group, Sembcorp Marine, Suntec Reit, Golden Agri-Resources and Frasers Centrepoint Trust. The list is made up of the highest ranking non-constituents of the STI by market capitalisation.
Stocks on the reserve list will replace any constituents that become ineligible as a result of corporate actions before the next review, which will take place in March 2023.
The index is reviewed quarterly in accordance with the index ground rules and to facilitate the inclusion of eligible initial public offering stocks.
The STI, a benchmark for the Singapore market, is used as the basis for a range of financial products including exchange-traded funds, warrants, futures and other derivatives.
