THERE will be no changes to the constituent stocks of the Straits Times Index (STI) following the March quarterly review, FTSE Russell announced on Thursday (Mar 2).

The STI reserve list comprises, in alphabetical order, CapitaLand Ascott Trust, Frasers Centrepoint Trust, Olam Group, Sembcorp Marine and Suntec Real Estate Investment Trust.

Stocks on the reserve list will replace any constituents that become ineligible as a result of corporate actions before the next review.

All changes take effect at the start of business on Mar 20, and the STI’s next review will take place in June.

FTSE Russell partners with SPH Media Trust and the Singapore Exchange to jointly calculate the STI, Singapore’s main stock market benchmark.

The indexes are reviewed quarterly in accordance with the index ground rules and to facilitate the inclusion of eligible stocks that have conducted an initial public offering.
