Noble gains big, shrugs off STI exclusion

SHARES of commodities firm Noble Group surged on Friday amid heavy trading, despite it being struck off the list of constituents that make up the Straits Times Index (STI).
Noble gained 4 Singapore cents or 10.5 per cent, to S$0.42. It was the most actively traded stock with some 220 million shares changing hands.
