HE set his eyes on big infrastructure projects in booming second-tier cities in China - Keat Ong, who set up Nota Design Group in 2003, decided in 2011 to focus all its firepower on the mainland after venturing into some South-east Asian countries and dropping out of others.
The main attraction was China's dizzying speed of growth. "China grew by leaps and bounds. It was so fast that by the time I entered the market, it was already the third decade, when the Chinese are already affluent," said Mr Ong.
