OCBC users hit by short-lived mobile and online log-in error; bank says issue resolved
Lender says services were restored at 12.15 pm
[SINGAPORE] OCBC digital users are now able to access mobile and online banking services, following a short-lived outage on Thursday (Dec 18) morning.
About 1,000 outage reports were lodged on tracking site Downdetector from around 12 pm, mostly citing mobile and online banking issues.
Checks by The Business Times at 11.50 am found that the app was unable to process log-in attempts by users.
Subsequent checks at 12.11 pm showed an error message on the app that said OCBC was working to resolve the issue.
The bank has since resolved the issue, and the services were back online at 12.15 pm, a spokesperson told BT.
Shares of OCBC were flat at S$19.44 at noon on Thursday.
