Oei Hong Leong withdraws requisition notice to Raffles Education Corp

RAFFLES Education Corporation Limited announced on Thursday after trading hours that Oei Hong Leong and Oei Hong Leong Art Museum Limited have withdrawn their requisition notice.
Mr Oei had earlier served notice to convene an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) on Nov 29 to ask for the removal of the company's founder, chairman and chief executive Chew Hua Seng, among other issues.
As the requisitioning members no longer require the EGM to be held, the proposed resolutions will be withdrawn at the EGM and it will be immediately brought to a close. Accordingly, no voting will be conducted in respect of the proposed resolutions.
Shareholders are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the shares of the company.
