Offer gives GMG shareholders valuable option: Halcyon CEO
They should see it as an opportunity to be part of a new major rubber player, says Robert Meyer
Singapore
HALCYON Agri Corp's share-swap offer for GMG Global treats all parties equally and gives GMG shareholders the option of becoming part of a new major rubber player, Halcyon executive chairman and chief executive Robert Meyer told reporters on Wednesday.
A privatised GMG will allow the group to save costs and enjoy economies of scale, said Mr Meyer, who asserted that an enlarged Halcyon can leverage its size to insulate itself from speculative volatility in rubber prices.
